so many new things...

Hey everyone,

First of all if you haven't been to our website lately, it's full of new things to check out... if you go to the 'about' page or 'get involved' page there are now sub-tabs that show you TONS more information! www.jroadchurch.org

Also, Sunday August 8 we are beginning a new series called 'Prodigal Me' revolving around parables that Jesus taught us about being lost.

Sunday, August 22 we are holding our very first outdoor baptism service at Pamona Park (band shell) in Fruitport! This will be during our normal service time at 11 a.m. If there are weather issues, we will have announcements here, on our website, and on facebook.

We have also started a new youth group called 'DV8'! This is for 5th - 12th grades. During the summer they are meeting every Tuesday afternoon from 1-3 p.m. at the church (14389 State Rd.) for Bible study and hang out. There is also a youth lock-in revolving around Muskegon's Unity Christian Music Festival. Email Brian Laxamana for more details!

There are currently FOUR community groups meeting through the summer! This is an unbelievable thing because most churches shut down small groups for the summer months, but our people wanted to continue to meet and see God move through community! If you want more information on ways to join, contact Eric Wagenmaker for more details! Current groups:
Wednesday nights - 8 p.m. @ Matt & Tana Schwemin's (North Muskegon)
Thursday nights - 7 p.m. @ Eric & Jen Wagenmaker's (Fruitport/Muskegon)
Friday nights young men's group (20-somethings) - 8 p.m. @ Justin Thornton's (Roosevelt Park)
every other Saturday morning woman's Bible study - 10 a.m. @ Marcia Reymore's (Roosevelt Park)
